Solid Waste in Guyana 2012

In April 2012 a group of Guyanese got together and held a meeting on Climate, Sustainability and You at the Cara Lodge. Solid waste was selected as a focal area for everyone attending. We met twice that week to discuss solutions to solid waste management in Guyana. We broke into small groups to focus on various topics like a petition to parliament based on the solid waste tax on imported plastic bottles and the disappearance of those funds.

Chris Ram, a chartered accountant, hosted musician and entertainer Dave Martins and environmental engineer Maya Trotz.
